Interested in a one-year post-graduate pharmacy residency program to develop the knowledge and skills to provide exemplary patient care?  The LMPS Pharmacy Residency Program deserves your consideration.

Year 1 positions

For the 2024-2025 program - we will have 42 residency positions (35 adult inpatient positions, 4 pediatrics positions, and new for 2024-2025, 3 adult ambulatory positions!). There will be one ambulatory residency spot available at Vancouver General Hospital, and two spots available at Peace Arch Hospital and Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre.

(**For new applicants, please note that although the ambulatory positions weren’t posted on PRAMS for the 2024-2025 intake, we will be soliciting interest at our interviews for ranking of all our adult positions.)

Required credentials and qualifications

Applicants are required to be registered and licensed as a pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.  All exams required for licensure must be completed prior to the start of the residency program which is in early June of each year.

All information provided in the application and reference letters will be reviewed and considered in the selection process. Applicants will be matched with the residency programs via the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists - Pharmacy Residency Matching Service (PRAMS). All applicants must be registered with the CSHP PRAMS matching service in order to be selected. 

International and out-of-province applicants are welcome and encouraged to apply.

All successful applicants to the LMPS Residency Program must provide evidence of membership with the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists and maintain their active membership throughout the course of the residency year.
