Required credentials and qualifications
Applicants are required to have completed an undergraduate pharmacy degree and be registered and licensed as a pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. All exams required for licensure must be completed prior to the start of the residency program.
All information provided in the application and reference letters will be reviewed and considered in the selection process. Applicants will be matched with the residency programs via the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists - Pharmacy Residency Matching Service (PRAMS). All applicants must be registered with the CSHP PRAMS matching service in order to be selected.
Applicants are encouraged to highlight their relevant work, research experience, volunteer work and service to the profession in their application. The personal statement should also tell the selection panel why are interested in completing a year 1 residency program and how doing this program will support your long-term career goals.
International and out-of-province applicants are welcome and encouraged to apply.
All successful applicants to the LMPS Residency Program must provide evidence of membership with the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists and maintain their active membership throughout the course of the residency year.
